Eligibility of Donations under CSR Initiatives
The Viveka-Darshan project encompasses fields like preservation, promotion and development of India’s rich, natural, tangible and intangible culture and heritage, youth empowerment, preservation and promotion of environment awareness, promotion and development of traditional arts and handicrafts, empowerment and development of rural people place through direct and indirect employment etc.
This project also provides a platform for the youth of rural India, to receive transformational knowledge, teachings and learning from the glorious heritage of our county and to research, understand, document, preserve, preach and train on various forms of art and culture of India and leverage the teachings of the greats of the Indian Heritage, either through their books, videos, audios, learnings, lectures, sermons passed on through the teachers and also through the displays at the project.
The Trust is eligible to accept donations under CSR Activities, which has been made compulsory under Companies (Corporate and Social Responsibility Policy) Rules 2014, which requires certain companies to earmark and spend certain percentage of their net profits every year. “Protection of national Heritage, Art and Culture including restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of Art, setting up Public Libraries, Promotion and Development of Traditional Arts and Handicrafts” and “rural development projects” are the two clauses among the CSR activities permitted under schedule VII Companies Act under which this particular project falls.
We hereby invite the PSU’s, Private Sectors and Corporate Houses to contribute and participate, in this noble cause under the provisions of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
